Consumer event, the Wellness Festival Mauritius, has been confirmed for 22-24 May 2020 at the five-star Heritage Le Telfair Golf and Wellness Resort.

Organised by Heritage Resorts, the three-day programme consists of wellness experiences and workshops that are claimed to ‘inspire, educate and empower’.

The event will focus on six topic areas – mind-body practices, nature connection, holistic health, personal development, artistic expression and spirituality – through 60 workshops and talks.

Participants can attend various classes including yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, meditation and breath-work, led by professionals in the field, along with sessions which blend nature with wellness to encourage calmness and connect the mind to the elements through activities such as forest bathing.

Workshops offered will cover a range of topics including techniques to release mind and body tensions and manage stress, as well as advice on personal development to help attendees develop a more confident and happier self.

Hannah Barrett, a London-based yoga instructor who led sessions at last year’s event said: “The festival is a celebration of nature and an incredible journey for the mind, body and soul. The variety of classes, workshops, nature experiences and seminars was really impressive”.

The festival costs £227 (€261, US$290) for a three-day pass which includes food and access to all practice sessions, workshops and entertainment. Alternatively, guests can stay on-site for £168 (€193, US$215) per person/night including a daily festival ticket.

In addition, retreats and workshops to deepen attendees’ practice and learning will be led by wellness experts before and after the festival.
