Promoters One World Entertainment and TEG Live announced the KISS Australian tour has been canceled as rhythm guitarist and co-lead vocalist Paul Stanley has not yet recovered from influenza.
Earlier this week, it was announced that U.S doctors had advised Stanley to rest due to a bad case of the flu, prompting the rescheduling of the "End Of The Road" tour's first show in Perth to the end of the run and the cancellation of show in New Zealand.
The band members were originally due to leave the U.S. on Tuesday to kick off their eagerly awaited "End Of The Road" tour in Perth on November 16.
It was hoped an extra few days of rest would allow Stanley the chance for a complete recovery so the tour could proceed as planned.
"However unfortunately this has not occurred. Stanley has an additional infection in his throat requiring complete vocal rest and medication for at least two weeks and possibly longer," KISS said on their website.
Stanley said, "Words cannot begin to convey our massive disappointment in having to cancel our End Of The Road tour of your incredible country. Our connection to you is unparalleled and decades deep".
The organizers promised that tickets purchased by credit or debit card will be refunded in full. They urged patrons to allow up to 10 working days for the refund to appear in their account.
Patrons who purchased tickets in an Agency using cash or EFTPOS will be contacted via phone in the next 15 days to arrange for a full refund, they added.
Meanwhile, KISS have added four more dates to next summer's European schedule, as well as a date in South Africa.
KISS announced new shows in Denmark, Norway, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic next Spring as well as a show in South Africa next July.
