The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.26% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.4% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.99% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 2.17% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s consumer industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

Body Shop International posted 15 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 46.43% over the previous month, followed by Mars with 10 jobs and a 150% growth. Focusrite with 9 IT jobs and Reckitt Benckiser Group with 7 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Unilever recorded a decline of 42.86% with 4 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.65%, down by 26.67% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 12.94% share, registered a decline of 15.38% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.41% share, down 33.33% over October 2022.
