"It's that time of the year again. Time to get that lawn summer ready".

The Plant Daddy revealed that when is lawn is looking worse for wear after a long winter, he transforms it into a green haven, in just a few simple steps.

The first thing that the gardening whizz does is digging up any large weeds out of the grass.

Then, he uses a rake, to drag all of the moss out of the grass.

Plant Daddy said that your lawn will look pretty sparse at this point, but added that this is all part of the process.

Next, the gardener uses a garden fork to aerate the lawn.

Demonstrating this, he said: "You're basically putting holes into the lawn so it drains better and air and nutrients can get to the grass roots."

After aerating the area, Plant Daddy takes a bag of grass seed (which you can purchase from Amazon for £6.66) and sprinkles it on the lawn.

"Be generous", he advised.

Finally, the gardener raked a thin layer of compost over the seed.

Sharing a clip of himself relaxing in the sun on his green grass, Plant Daddy said: "Enjoy".
