FORT WORTH, Tx. (BRPROUD) — LSU gymnastics punched their ticket to the NCAA Finals on Saturday after a dominating performance in the semifinals Thursday afternoon.

The No. 2 Tigers scored a 198.1125 after starting off slow on vault. LSU trailed California after the first rotation, then cranked up the heat on the balance beam. Haleigh Bryant scored the highest beam score of the day with a 9.9500. Bryant went on to win the All-Around with a 39.7125.

The Tigers finished the meet on floor with their strongest event. LSU finished with five of the top six scores on floor with Aleah Finnegan scoring the highest with a 9.9625.

LSU will join No. 3 California from Session No. 1 to compete for the national championship Saturday.

Just a year ago, LSU was in the same spot reaching the Final Four but finished fourth on the final day. This is the Tigers 10th trip to the finals.
