NFL fans have noticed teams can snap up a highly-talented former second-round draft pick for the 2025 season.
Nearly two months after the Philadelphia Eagles brought a close to the 2024 NFL season by winning Super Bowl 59, fans have already turned their attention to the 2025 campaign.
That's in large part down to the free agency window opening on March 12.
Perhaps the most notable free agent is Aaron Rodgers, who was most recently with the New York Jets.
But also among the star-studded list of free agents is former Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Asante Samuel Jr.
The Chargers, surprisingly, opted not to renew the former second-round draft pick's contract.

The writing was seemingly on the wall for the 25-year-old last November when it emerged the Chargers were interested in signing Marshon Lattimore.
Lattimore ultimately didn't end up moving to LA, but that didn't result in Samuel Jr being given a new deal.
The continued availability of Samuel Jr - the son of former Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots star Samuel - has stunned American football fans.
One wrote on X: "Why [are] teams not signing him?"

Another said: "Yeah, I don't get this. He would be an upgrade for probably half the teams in the league."
And another said: "I have a feeling he will get picked up by one of his dad's former teams."
One remarked: "Must be holding out for that 3/42-44 mill contract and he deserves it.
"He’ll get signed post draft, when teams miss on corners."
Another chimed in: "The obvious team is the Eagles. His father had many great years in Philadelphia.
"His contract demands must be very high."
Several teams, however, are said to be interested in signing Samuel Jr - including the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders.
Samuel Jr has yet to speak on his future following his exit from the Chargers.
