A grandma torn between visiting two of her new grandchildren was surprised by her daughters, who brought their newborns together just for her.

Jayda Martin and her sister Jezlyn are three years apart in age and miles apart with their families. Jayda lives in Alabama with her husband and her three kids, while Jezlyn lives in Texas near more of her family.

Two of five children, Jayda says the sisters share a tight bond with all their siblings, as well as their mom.

"All of our siblings are extremely close, but we all live very far away from each other. My parents are military, so we're used to moving around and living apart. It's no one's fault. It's just how our life is right now. We're on FaceTime all the time," she tells PEOPLE.

When it comes to life events, Jayda and Jezlyn have been known to move in sync.

"Me and my older sister Jezlyn, we got married three weeks apart. We both had just planned our dates and then when we shared with each other, we realized. So we were engaged at the same time, planned weddings at the same time. We gave birth to our first babies within five months of each other," Jayda shares. "My poor mom has been traveling the country for baby showers, births and everything, but she loves it."

The family gathered at Christmas, where they learned that Jayda would welcome baby No. 3 just four weeks after Jezlyn welcomed baby No. 4.

"My mother was like, 'I'm going to have to decide who to go see,' because usually she'd fly to any of us after birth. We knew it was going to be a tough decision for her," Jayda shares.

"She hadn't gotten to meet my 2-year-old son in person and hadn't seen my 3-year-old daughter since she was small. So she decided to come to us, but I know she was heartbroken about not being able to see my sister," Jayda says.

The feeling of unease about her having to choose, however, led the sisters to discuss a way to surprise their hard-working and dedicated mom, who would also be celebrating her 50th birthday around the time of the visit.

"I was on FaceTime with my sister and just like, 'Man I really wish we could all be together,' " Jayda says. "But I never imagined she'd travel with a newborn baby. I just told my sisters nothing would mean more to her than to have us together."

Despite the logistical difficulties, the siblings "decided to plan it." It took two weeks and a lot of secretive moves.

"Because we're all so close, my mom gets extremely worried if she can't get ahold of us at any given time. So it was a risk to turn off Find My iPhone and not talk to her for the day," Jayda says. "We were worried about ruining the surprise. My grandmother accidentally texted my mom about it and we had my sister get her phone so she wouldn't see it. It was a good scramble there for a few hours."

The video of the big surprise, which has amassed more than 200,000 views on TikTok, shows their mom overcome by emotion as she sees her daughter and her new granddaughter. The two start making their way through the airport when Jezlyn, pushing her son in a stroller, "accidentally" bumps into her mom; she screams and begins jumping around.

"She was incredibly surprised. My mom was just shocked beyond belief. She does this little dance on her toes when she's excited, and she does it in the video, It's my favorite," Jayda says.

The family was touched to see just how many people online were inspired by their family reunion.

"Sharing this on TikTok was super natural for us because we're sharing TikToks with each other so often. The video of the surprise just felt like something positive with a lot of negativity going on in the world. TikTok could use something heartwarming," Jayda says.

"I know I watch all the heartwarming videos and scroll and cry, so I wanted to give others that experience and celebrate my mom."

Jayda is hopeful this will remind people to "put in the effort" to make memories with their families.

"There's so many people out there that are really far away from their parents that just need a reminder that, 'Hey, it probably is worth it for me to make the journey. It is worth it for me to spend the money and go and make these memories with my family because that's the time you just don't get back,' " Jayda says.

"She's really all of our best friend. And so anything that we can do to get more time with her, we will do. We are just really intent on making all of my mom's dreams come true."
