CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Some Tri-State children will soon be sleeping in brand new beds, thanks to the efforts of volunteers from FC Cincinnati and the nonprofit organization Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Eighty members of FC Cincinnati's staff, along with some players, joined forces to handcraft 60 new beds for children in need who live in the West End.
"It's always great when we can support and give back to our communities, especially those in the neighborhood where our stadium is. So, anytime we can offer some kind of relief to those in need, we're always up for the challenge," said Natalie Anderson, Vice President of Community Relations with the FCC Foundation.
The nonprofit currently has more than 400 children on the waiting list to receive a bed. Elder High School is set to continue the effort by building beds on Saturday.
