The Vegas Golden Knights will be glued to their screens Monday night.
Although the red-hot team is idle on the ice, the Golden Knights could still clinch a playoff berth depending on the result of the Calgary Flames vs. Colorado Avalanche game.
Here's how Vegas can book its spot:
• If the Flames lose to the Avalanche in regulation.
Should Calgary win in regulation or push the game into overtime, Vegas will just have to wait for another chance to advance.
The Golden Knights are looking to reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the seventh time in eight seasons since joining the league.
Vegas made it to the Stanley Cup Final during its inaugural season in 2017-18 and captured the Stanley Cup in 2022-23.
The Winnipeg Jets, Dallas Stars and Washington Capitals have already punched their playoff tickets.
Vegas (45-20-8) is first in the Pacific Division with 98 points and will look to prolong its six-game winning streak when it next hits the ice Tuesday at home against the Edmonton Oilers.
