A British tourist has died while snorkelling on a dream holiday in Indonesia with his body being found "floating lifeless."
The 81-year-old was found just 15ft away from the cost of Gili Trawangan island in Indonesia. Local police said he had been sailing around the island with a group of tourists on March 26.
Gili islands police chief Iptu Mahardika said: "After arriving at a spot off the Wah Resort, the tourists dived at the location only five metres from the shoreline. They were there for around 10 minutes when the victim was discovered floating motionless in the waters."

The tourist is understood to have become separated from the group before his lifeless body was discovered. Local outlet News of Indonesia said the group had been snorkelling at the time of the incident.
Chief of Gili Indah Police, Made Sutama, said based on an initial medical examination that the Brit might have suffered a heart attack or another sudden medical condition while he had been snorkelling. The cause of death has not been confirmed at this time.
Authorities are reportedly in contact with the British Embassy in Indonesia in order to contact the tourist's family. A Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesperson told The Mirror: "We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Indonesia and are in touch with the local authorities."
Gili Trawangan island is a popular destination for tourists and is well known for its sunset views and beautiful beaches. Tourists typically enjoy restaurants, bars and the scenery during their stay on the island.
