AS YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY GUESSED, PUPPETS ARE A BIG PART OF AVENUE Q, PLAYED BY REAL PERSON DAVID GALLOWAY, TREKKIE MONSTER. SILENT MONSTER. THANK YOU. TREKKIE. NOTED THINKS THE THEMES OF THIS SHOW SPEAK TO TODAY’S AUDIENCE. THIS PLAY DEALS WITH LOTS OF CURRENT ISSUES. I DEAL WITH HOW WE TREAT EACH OTHER, ARE TREATING PEOPLE LIKE PEOPLE, NOT LIKE OTHER. VERY IMPORTANT. WELL SAID. TREKKIE. THANK YOU. YOU’RE WELCOME. GIL REYES IS THE DIRECTOR OF THIS PRODUCTION OF AVENUE Q, AND ALSO THE PRODUCING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF THE COMPANY, PUTTING ON THE SHOW. PANDORA PRODUCTIONS. SO AVENUE Q IS LIKE SESAME STREET FOR ADULTS. GROWN UP MESSAGES, THINGS YOU WOULD HAVE LEARNED MAYBE RIGHT OUT OF COLLEGE. OBVIOUSLY, THAT’S NOT THE REAL GIL REYES, BUT WE’RE HAVING A GOOD TIME HERE. SO THERE HE IS. THE SHOW OPENS FRIDAY THE FOURTH AND WILL RUN FRIDAYS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THUNDER OVER LOUISVILLE. SATURDAYS AND MATINEE SUNDAYS. TREKKIE MONSTER, AND I ASSUME DAVID AS WELL, HOPES YOU LEAVE THE HENRY CLAY THEATER A LITTLE WISER THAN WHEN YOU WALKED IN. WE WANT PEOPLE TO HAVE FUN, BUT ALSO TO THINK. THINK ABOUT OTHERS. THINK ABOUT HOW OTHER PEOPLE ARE INFLUENCED BY EVERYTHING WE DO. WHILE THIS IS THE FINAL SHOW OF PANDORA’S SEASON, A NEW ONE IS COMING IN AUGUST. CAN I TAKE THE END OF THIS AT THE HENRY CLA
