Celebrity Big Brother fans have same complaint as 'unexpected' star rumoured for series

The latest star rumoured to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house has been announced and fans have made the same complaint. The popular ITV show will return on Monday, April 7.

Celebrity Big Brother will be back on TV screens soon and it’s no surprise that people are already speculating who will be participating in the new series.

The British reality TV show is set to return on April 7 and will again be presented by AJ Odudu and Will Best. JoJo Siwa is the latest celebrity rumoured to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house.

This has come as a surprise to fans who have made the same complaint. Super TV shared the news on X as they posted a photo of Jojo with the caption “The latest celebrity to reportedly sign a huge deal to enter the Celebrity Big Brother House next Monday… is JOJO SIWA. No, this isn’t April Fools either! The Sun have very reliably stated that the deal is almost done.”

The tweet has garnered 277,800 views, 1,100 likes and more than 100 comments, at the time of writing. There appears to be a similar theme in fans’ remarks about JoJo Siwa.

A number of X users simply asked “Who?” One fan said: “Literally no idea who this person is. How is she a celebrity in the UK?”

Another added: “Might as well have an ordinary member of the public because most seem to have no idea who this ‘celebrity’ is.” A third chimed in: “???? this has to be the most unexpected celeb ever.”

A fourth commented: “Not many people here know her. But it's another reality ‘celeb’, and that doesn't attract me to watch.”

JoJo, shortened from Joelle Joanie, is a 21-year-old American singer, dancer, actress and social media personality. She rose to fame after she appeared as a dancer on the fourth season of Lifetime Network’s competition show Dance Moms in 2015.

After this, she signed with Nickelodeon in 2017 and starred in several shows and films, including JoJo Siwa: My World, The J Team and The JoJo & BowWow Show Show. The US pop star has also released a number of songs such as Boomerang (2016), Nonstop (2020), Worldwide Party (2023) and Karma (2024).

JoJo came out as being part of the LGBTQ+ community on social media in 2021. She has become an internet sensation with 45 million followers on TikTok and 11 million on Instagram.

Some fans on X shared positive opinions of JoJo taking part in Celebrity Big Brother. A user said: “I've heard the name but don't know much about her, which isn't a problem as that's exactly how I felt about some iconic signings of the past, and she will bring a lot of social media attention to the show which is good.”

Another shared their thoughts: “Perfect cbb housemate. She’s gonna ruffle some feathers because she’s young, American, loud and gay! I think we’ll see a lot more to her and not just her public persona.”

A third user added: “I am convinced this is an April fools joke because there’s no way they got her, if they did I will be very glad to watch her.”
