• The Yardbirds with The Cryers are set to perform on today at 8 p.m. at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville. The Yardbirds return to the U.S. with a new show featuring all the hits delivered by the dynamic, legendary five-piece band led by founder Jim McCarty, who handles drums and vocals. This blistering ensemble brings with them an exciting multimedia infusion of songs and stories that draw back the curtain on the history of one of rock music’s most influential and important groups. “For Your Love,” “Shapes of Things,” “Heart Full of Soul,” “Over Under Sideways Down” and “I’m a Man,” are among the Yardbirds’ worldwide smash hits, but their recorded work includes blues staples such as “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl” and “I Wish You Would” and the Mose Allison tune “I’m Not Talkin.’” McCarty and the band put the spotlight on the creative fire that exploded when Top Topham, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page held the guitar chair and joined with Jim and lead vocalist Keith Relf, bassist Paul-Samwell Smith, rhythm guitarist and bassist Chris Dreja to build an unparalleled legacy of music. Today’s Yardbirds bring the authentic sound and story of the Yardbirds to the stage. The Cryers’ sound is based deep within the roots of rock. It features a solid beat, captivating harmonies and powerfully written songs. In addition to their own shows, The Cryers are also constantly working with legendary artists such as Denny Laine (The Moody Blues, Paul McCartney & Wings), Terry Sylvester (The Hollies), John Ford Coley (England Dan & John Ford Coley), Joey Molland (Badfinger) and guitarist Albert Lee. Tickets start at $50. For more information, go to st94.com/events/.
