Summer Fridays launched in 2018 with its iconic Jet Lag Mask, and in 2020 dropped another cult beauty item – the Lip Butter Balms.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balms are an award-winning and best-selling lip product, which soothes, as well as treats, dry and chapped lips, while also offering deep long-lasting hydration.
Over the years the California-based brand’s Lip Butter Balms have expanded across various flavours, and sold out on numerous occasions, which is unsurprising because they are super hydrating. Now they are back in stock (finally!), including the viral Birthday Cake flavour.
Summer Fridays Birthday Cake Lip Butter Balm has been restocked at Sephora and Space NK after selling out due to popular demand.

Summer Fridays' Lip Butter Balm Birthday Cake
This Lip Butter Balmi in Birthday Cake is a limited-edition, vegan lip balm that conditions and softens dry lips. It features a light pink shimmer and a birthday cake flavour, made with hydrating shea and murumuru seed butters. This cruelty-free and gluten-free balm provides instant moisture and shine, perfect for daily use or as an overnight lip mask.
Buy Now for £23This iconic flavour smells, and tastes – not that we advocate eating it – of… you guessed it – birthday cake. It boasts sweet vanilla flavour to replicate the sweet buttercream a birthday cake is laced in.
Birthday Cake offers a subtle touch of baby pink colour to the lips, and has an iridescent finish to add a hint of a sparkle to make you pout dazzle.
The lip product is 100% vegan, as it has been formulated with shea and murumuru seed butters, as well as vegan waxes, to provide a natural boost of hydration in an instant.
What’s more is the lip balms are not like other balms, as they are thick and long-lasting, which is exactly what we need especially when slurping on our coffees throughout the day.
The Lip Butter Balms are a thicker texture than lip glosses, balms, oils and other balms I have tried, yet they are not tacky or greasy.
The flexible tube makes it easy to squeeze the product out of the asymmetric tube, and apply with precision on the lips.
Summer Fridays has honoured its eco-conscious ethos right down to the packaging, as the tubes can be recycled.
But this Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm is not the only flavour to shop, as there has been a restock of all flavours at both Sephora and Space NK.
The lip product is now available in eight other flavours, including Vanilla, Vanilla Beige, Poppy, Brown Sugar, Pink Sugar, Cherry, Sweet Mint and Iced Coffee.
These flavours not only smell divine, but some offer a subtle touch of pigment to add colour to your lips – just not as potent, or opaque, as a lipstick.
The Lip Butter Balms can be worn on their own, paired with a lip liner to add some colour to your lips, or over a liner and lipstick.
The cult product retails for £23, but rest assured a little goes a long way.
If you are looking to snap up this hero make-up and skincare hybrid you’re in luck, as they are now back in stock at Space NK, Cult Beauty and Sephora, though flavours are limited at the latter retailers.
If its sell-out status isn’t proof enough this is a hit product to shop, then check out the thousands of glowing reviews.
