Burlington man allegedly steals 2nd car after court appearance for vehicle theft

COLCHESTER, Vt. (WCAX) - Authorities say a Burlington man was arrested twice over two days for stealing cars.
Colchester Police Shawn Burnett, 33, stole a car early Wednesday morning from a home on Hawkes Way. He was later captured behind Bob’s Auto Center in Essex Junction.
Authorities say shortly after his arrangement Thursday, Burnett allegedly stole another car from a Colchester Maplefields. Police say he was arrested a second time after trying to pick up his possessions from the police station. Officers found the second stolen car parked outside.
Burnett faces multiple charges including grand larceny and violating his conditions of release.
