Scottish police have confirmed the arrest of two additional individuals in connection with the recent defacement of US President Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland.
The arrests come as part of an ongoing investigation into a protest that saw political slogans and damage inflicted on the luxury property last month.
According to authorities, a 55-year-old woman from Leeds and a 33-year-old man from nearby Wakefield were apprehended on Friday about the incident, which took place on March 8.
On that day, demonstrators sprayed the message “GAZA IS NOT 4 SALE” in large white lettering across the manicured lawn in front of the clubhouse.
Red paint was also thrown onto the building’s exterior, and damage was reported on parts of the golf course, including its greens.
The act of ‘vandalism’ was widely seen as a response to controversial comments made by Trump earlier in the month.
The US president proposed that the United States should “take over” Gaza and develop it into the “Riviera of the Middle East” while advocating for the displacement of Palestinians to neighbouring countries such as Egypt and Jordan—remarks that drew international condemnation.

Earlier this week, a 33-year-old man was formally charged with vandalism in connection with the protest.
He has been released on bail and is due to appear in court again at a later date. Before that, two older individuals, one in their 60s and another in their 70s, were questioned by police and subsequently released while enquiries continued.
Trump publicly praised the efforts of British law enforcement on his Truth Social platform following the latest developments.
The Turnberry Resort, located in South Ayrshire, is one of two golf properties owned by Trump in Scotland. His other course is situated in Aberdeenshire, while his Scottish heritage stems from his late mother, who was born on the Isle of Lewis.
Similar acts of protest were reported in March at Trump’s golf resort in Doonbeg, Ireland, where activists planted Palestinian flags on the course as a political statement.
