There's a Monkey Jungle Play Area, an Eco Garden and a Dragon's Lair. You can explore the Sculpture Trail and take part in the Wildlife Park Challenge before going for lunch in the cafe or tucking into a picnic, or relaxing in the soft play space.

Whilst prices have risen slightly in the past year, it is still a great value day out, especially as it's only three miles out of the city centre so really affordable to reach.

Tickets cost just £8.90 for adults (£11 peak time), £4.40 for children (£6.50 peak time) and £6.75 for concessions (£8.50 peak time). Under threes go free.

Family day tickets start from £20.80 for an adult and three children (£26.50 peak) and £29 for two adults and up to three children (£36.50 peak).

You can also get a family season ticket for £104 that can be used anytime. Find out more and book tickets via the Birmingham City Council website. You can also sponsor an animal and book a birthday party at the park.

The park gets rave reviews on Tripadvisor. In March 2025, one said: "We visited the park today and found the ground to be immaculate, both the animal living accommodation and surrounding areas all pristine.

"The animals themselves were very happy and healthy, the staff were very engaging and we stopped to ask them about specific species.

"What a wonderful facility to have in the heart of Birmingham. We are very fortunate as there is nothing similar to this close by. Great value for families."

Another five star rating reviewer posted: "I’ve rated this so highly as it was perfect for what we needed.

"A long drive which we wanted broken up by a couple hours, and the price (in today’s value) was great!

"The park itself is small but not so tiny it only takes too short a time. A good collection of animals and very clean and inviting. A really nice experience."

A third added: "Fantastic place, a real hidden gem at an amazingly low entrance price! Animals enclosures of a high standard, well maintained grounds and friendly staff. A good range of exhibits with some unusual creatures."
