The White Lotus' wildest scenes – sibling snog, murder plot, nephew and uncle romp

The White Lotus season three is sadly coming to an end, so to honour the iconic HBO series Daily Star is taking a look back at the show's wildest moments from over the years

The White Lotus is one of the most debaucherous shows on TV.

The beloved HBO series' third season is coming to an end and viewers are on the edge of their seats. The show's premise follows a group of rich upper-middle class holidaymakers at the various White Lotus resorts around the world.

First season we travelled to Hawaii, second to Sicily and third to Thailand. Each series begins the same - one of the guests or hotel workers discovers a body on the property and through a flashback storyline, the identity of the deceased is slowly revealed.

The White Lotus has gathered a cult following since it was first released back in 2021 and a number of big name stars have played a role on the show, including Sydney Sweeney, Aubrey Plaza, Jennifer Coolidge, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, BlackPink's Lisa, Aimee Lou Wood, Theo James, Leo Woodall and Jason Isaacs just to name a few.

In honour of the third season coming to a close, Daily Star is taking a look back at some of the wildest, most outrageous moments ever filmed for the series.

Brotherly Love

Arguably The White Lotus' craziest storylines, brothers Saxon and Lochlan shared a very intimate moment in the third season. While drunk and partying with friends, the pair kiss which sent viewers into a complete frenzy.

Many slammed the "disgusting" and "unnecessary" moment, with one fan of the show taking to social media to fume: "The brother thing was gross. The White Lotus pushed that envelope, with the kiss, too far for me."

Actor Patrick Schwarzenegger, who plays Saxon, spoke out about the scene and explained: "It's a moment that's shattering about who he thought he was and what he stood for and what he thought masculinity was."

"As the show progresses, (Saxon) is on the side of being totally lost. Everything he stood for is now not who he is."

Still doesn't make it any less weird.

Family Matters

One of season two's craziest scenes played out when Tanya McQuoid stumbles across Quentin and Jack having intimate relations.

The problem? The pair are supposed to be uncle and nephew.

Viewers later discover that the pair are working together and they aren't actually related, however many fans were left totally baffled by the bizarre lie that unfolded.

Resort, Baby

Way back in season one's first episode during Lani's first day on the job, the White Lotus employee's water breaks.

She tries to hide it at first but the situation quickly spirals out of control, later going into full blown labour in the hotel manager's office.

What a way to set the tone!

Too Close For Comfort

In series two, the incredible Aubrey Plaza played Harper and Hollywood heartthrob Theo James played Cameron. The pair were on holiday as a foursome with their respective partners, although the trip goes awry as emotions bubble to the surface.

Harper is skeptical about the other couple, and for good reason - Cameron attempts to flirt with her at the dinner table by putting his hand on her leg under the table cloth, right in front of their spouses.

He also strips off while he knows she's in the room and she catches a glimpse of...ahem...everything.

While Harper and Cameron's wife Daphne spend a night away from the hotel together, Cameron encourages Harper's husband Ethan to party the night away with two younger girls.

They drink alcohol and take MDMA before Cameron sleeps with one of them, leaving a condom in Ethan's room. Harper later finds the evidence and assumes Ethan was the one who cheated.

Tanya's Iconic Death

The iconic Tanya McQuoid, played by none other than Jennifer Coolidge, appeared in season one and two.

Fans grew to love the self-absorbed heiress as she grappled with her mother's death and hilariously derailed a sunset boat ride with other guests so that she could scatter her mother's ashes at sea.

She eventually married Greg Hunt after meeting him in the first season and the pair returned for a second stint on the show. However, this was sadly to be her last as a botched assassination attempt by her own husband went wrong.

Much to many viewers' dismay, Tanya accidentally fell off the side of a yacht while evading the very people who were trying to kill her. Who can forget Coolidge's iconic line: "These gays, they're trying to murder me!"

In a grim full circle moment, many fans pointed out that Tanya and her mother were reunited once more as she fell to the bottom of the ocean. Lovely.

Costume Drama

Jason Isaac's costume in season three also landed the show in hot water. The actor plays struggling father Timothy Ratcliffe, who is seen wearing a grey t-shirt with the word Duke written across his chest.

The garment appears to be merchandise from the prestigious university implying that his character attended the school. However, the t-shirt caused outrage as Timothy wears it while imagining a murder-suicide situation with his wife.

Duke University was clearly unimpressed with the costume choice and VP for communications Frank Tramble issued a statement.

"The White Lotus not only uses our brand without permission but in our view, uses it on imagery that is troubling, does not reflect our values or who we are, and simply goes too far."

He continued: "Suicide is the second-leading cause of death on college campuses. As imagery from the show is being shared widely across social media, we are using our brand to promote mental health awareness and remind people that help is available."
