Seven types of herbal products and dietary supplements have been banned from being sold after concerns they could be hazardous to one’s health.
Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National, reported that the Ministry of Health asked the Ministry of Environment and Water, Federal Customs Authority, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and Dubai Municipality to make sure they were no longer on sale in the country.
The products include Royal Chocolate and Royal Jelly, which are thought to cause low blood pressure.
Herbal Health Joint Care, Herbal Health Cream, Herbal Health Plus and Herbal Health V-Plus were also prohibited over health concerns.
Zyrexin, a dietary supplement, will also be withdrawn because contains banned substances.
