Officials are investigating after a the body of a man was found in the Sacramento River Sunday afternoon. According to the Sacramento Fire Department, the body was found in the water, near the Freeport Marina, on Freeport Boulevard.Crews were called out to the area around 3:45 p.m. when a person on a boat in the marina spotted the body in the water, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said.The sheriff's office said the death does not appear suspicious and is believed to be a drowning, though the coroner will make the final determination.This is a developing story.
