Mike Pouncey has listed his stunning Fort Lauderdale mansion in Florida for $6.95 million - and new owners could have a literal field day with its unique features.

The former offensive lineman, who stood out as a center for the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers, initially retired in 2021 after a 10-season career in the NFL.

During his time in the league, Pouncey was named to four Pro Bowl rosters and was a prolific player in Miami and LA.

In his seven seasons with the Dolphins and three with the Chargers, the center started 114 games snapping the ball. However, he dealt with a plethora of hip and neck injuries during his time, which eventually led to him hanging up his helmet.

Since his retirement four years ago, the 35-year-old has been living in a lavish mansion in Fort Lauderdale - but told the New York Post he is heading to a different part of Florida in 2025.

Pouncey said: "We built our retirement home on a 220-acre ranch in Okeechobee and plan to move there full-time once our son finishes high school."

However, the former athlete is leaving behind an unbelievable mansion in his move, which features one rare amenity - a large football field that could be used for a wide range of sports, including football or soccer.

The sprawling backyard area features a football field, patio, outdoor pool, and dock that gives the owner direct access to the ocean.

However, the football field was originally a plot of land that had a house built on it, but Pouncey tore it down to train his craft and teach his son the ropes.

The ex-Dolphins star said: "There was originally a house on the lot next door, which I tore down to build a football field for added privacy.

"It made sense, since our son is the next in line for football in the Pouncey family tree."

Within the home, there are five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms and various living areas to enjoy moments of relaxation on the west coast. Some interesting features include floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the home which allow amazing views of the outdoors.

There is an elevator that connects all three levels of the home together, and the top floor is where you can have some private moments. Here, there is a wet bar and a private home gym with all modern amenities - as well as an open terrace to chill on in the evenings.

The main living area is open-plan, allowing you to move from the couch straight into the kitchen, which is fitted with all the best appliances and a large island that is ideal for hosting.

The kitchen space extends out into the open space on the bottom floor, where there is an in-ground pool, summer kitchen, and a private dock on the canal.

The property also houses a two-car garage and dual driveways to fit all the vehicles you desire - and its location is perfect for those who want privacy but also some fine dining, shopping time, and beach walks.

With a price point of almost $7m, Pouncey hopes to seal a deal soon so he can move to his retirement ranch in Okeechobee - but he is very complimentary of his old home.

He added: "The view from the third floor is next level — you can see all of downtown Fort Lauderdale."
