FROM GULULCOAST WEATHER. >> WELL, GET READY TO SPRING INTO THE WORLD OF ROSE. >> THIS MORNING IS AT BINGHAM FROM OLD VINES SUFFOLK. LOVE IS BACK WITH US. WE LOVE COMES ON THE SHOW IS GONNA HELP US DIVE INTO THE WORLD OF FINE WINE AND PINK WINE. THANKS FOR BEING HERE. ABSOLUTELY JUDGES AND ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO BE HERE. AND WHAT A PERFECT SEGUE HERE. LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS EXTREME AT ROSE IS ARE THAT HARBINGERS OF SPRING. >> EVEN THOSE NORTHERN CLIMATES WHEN WINTER STARTS TO SHUT DOWN THE COME OUT PATIO SEASON ROOFTOP SEASON. AND IT JUST SO HAPPENS AT LEAST THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE WHERE A LOT OF THESE WINES ARE BEING MADE. THAT'S WHEN WE SEE THE NEW VINTAGE IS. I'VE ALREADY SEEN A COUPLE 2024 INCHES NONE HERE TODAY, BUT IT DOES. THE TIMING OF IT IS PERFECT, ESPECIALLY HERE IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA WHERE IT IS JUST PERPETUALLY SUMMER. SURE. I WANTED TO TAKE A MINUTE TO TALK ABOUT JUST THE BROAD SPECTRUM OF ROSE. IT IS NOT AS ONE AS ONE-DIMENSIONAL. LOT OF PEOPLE MAKE IT SEEM TO AS YOU CAN SEE, JUST BY THE COLORS HERE OUT OF THESE WINE-MAKING REGIONS HAVE HISTORY DATING BACK HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS OF YEARS. THE FIRST ROSE FROM GREECE. YOU KNOW, IT'S GOT 3,000 YEARS OF HISTORY BEHIND IT. JUST NOT SOMETHING THAT WE SEE A LOT ROSE MEANS PINK AND IT DEMANDS. AND OBVIOUSLY THAT REGION HAS HAD A HUGE INFLUENCE ON WHAT ROSE IS FOR SURE WHAT WE COMMONLY THE FACT THAT THE WHOLE CATEGORY IS DOMINATED BY THEIR WORD FOR PINK. SURE. IF WE WERE TO JUST NORTH QUICKER, IT YOU KNOW, IT'S BLUSH WINE OR PINK BUT THE FRENCH COUNTRY REALLY IS A HOME SPECIFICALLY IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE. WE'RE GOING TO LOOK AT THE SHUTTLE AND PROVIDES THAT'S REALLY BEEN THE BEATING HEART BEAT THE HARNESS. ALL THE ENERGY OF ROSE HAS A ROSE RENAISSANCE IS TAKEN ACROSS THE STORM, THE WORLD SO THAT IS THE CATEGORY. IT'S IT'S UBIQUITOUSLY FRENCH IN NOMENCLATURE, BUT IT IS GLOBAL IN STYLE. OKAY. WHETHER IT'S THE GRAPE VARIETALS THE THE LAWS AND THE REGULATIONS THAT SURROUND EACH OF THESE PROPERTIES AND THAT REALLY ENDS UP LANDING A TOTALLY DIFFERENT STRUCTURE THAT EVEN IN SOME CASES LIKE THIS WIND HERE, YOU CAN TOTALLY BEAR WITH A STICK. OKAY TO ROSE WAS A HEARTY, VERY STRUCTURE. BUT YEAH, IT'S TIME. OKAY. AND THAT'S THAT'S THE TRUTH ABOUT ROSE REALLY FALLS ON A WIDE SPECTRUM, OK? SO WHICH ONES DID YOU BRING WITH YOU? ALWAYS BRING IN NEW ONES THAT A LOT OF US HAVE NEVER SEEN OR HEARD. LET'S GO DOUBLE DOWN AND IT IS REALLY GOOD JOB AT SOME OF THESE COULD HAVE FIT INTO OTHER CATEGORIES. I THINK OR PREVIOUS SEGMENTS, BUT IT'S A GREAT CHANCE TO ALWAYS EXPLORE NEW THINGS AND THAT'S REALLY AT THE HEART OF WHAT WE DO. IT VINES AND JUST MY PASSION AND MY MISSION AND WIND IN GENERAL TO DEBUNK AND DEMYSTIFY SOME OF THE COMPLEXITIES AROUND THE WORLD OF WINE AND ROSE. I HAVE A SOFT SPOT FOR OKAY. SO THIS IS THE ZOE ROSE. SO IS THE GREEK WORD FOR LIFE REALLY REFERENCING THIS TREE OF LIFE HERE ON THE LABEL. THE MEAN SCORE U.S. PRODUCES THIS FROM GEORGIA TECO, WHICH IS IN NEED OF GREEK READ RIGHT FIELD WHICH IS A NATIVE GREW QUITE SO FERMENTING THEM SEPARATELY, THEN BRINGING THEM TOGETHER. IT HAS VERY SOFT LIGHT BLUSH COLOR VARYS ST LITTLE TANGERINE. AN ORANGE PEEL ON THE NOSE LITTLE BIT THAT BRIGHT STRAWBERRY ALMOST LIKE UNDERWRITE STRAWBERRY PICKED A LITTLE BIT BEFORE THEY'RE FULLY VERY ZESTY AND REFRESHING. AND YOU WANT TO DRINK RIGHT NOW, WHAT WHAT? WHAT DO DON'T TAKE YEAH. IT LOOKS AND SMELLS INCREDIBLE. AND I COULD SEE WHERE THIS WOULD BE REFRESHING ON A ON A HOT DAY I THINK IT WAS. IT WAS PEOPLE THINK OF ROSE. THEY THINK OF SOMETHING LIKE WHEREAS WE JUMP INTO OUR SECOND WIND. >> THIS IS THE BUT THEY GUSTY OUR FAMILY WINERY IN REAL HIGH IN NORTHERN SPAIN. THIS IS THEIR DAY MARK OF MARBLE ACTUALLY LEADS THIS IN MARBLE BARRELS WELL FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS. AND I WISH WE COULD TASTE THIS ONE BECAUSE THE TEXTURE ON THIS IS UNREAL. BUT THE CALLER IMMEDIATELY YOU CAN JUST THAT'S NOT SO MUCH COMING FROM THE MARVEL AS IT IS FROM BARREL FERMENTATION PRIOR TO GOING INTO THAT MARVEL. SO WE'RE GOING TO A LITTLE BIT OF SOFTNESS IN TEXTURE FROM THAT WOULD, BUT IT CERTAINLY BRINGS A LITTLE BIT OF EXTRA DEPTH OF COLOR AS WE START TO SEE THAT ORANGE HUE, SOMETHING A BIT MORE OFF PINK, IF YOU WILL. AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THE LINE IS GOING TO BE ON THE PALATE TO. IT'S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT RIGHTS, WHICH ARE JUST RIGHT HERE. BIG DIFFERENCE THERE'S A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN INCENTIVE. ALMOST EVERY YEAH. ALMOST LIKE A LITTLE SAMAK AND WHITE PEPPER. YOU GET SOME OF OUR IS JUST NOW. YOU WANT SOMETHING FROM SALTY AND SOMETHING A BIT ALREADY. AND IT IS. IT'S AND ORANGE BANQUETTES. COULDN'T REALLY TELL THAT BY LOOKING BUT ONCE YOU SEE ISN'T THAT KIND OF A MISCONCEPTION, THOUGH, THAT YOU LIKE YOU SEE OF ROSE AND YOU THINK, OH, IT'S GOT TO BE SWEET, CORRECT? AND WE THINK TYPICALLY THE DARKER THE COLOR ALWAYS GOING TO BE SUPER SWEET RENT. YOU GOT TO REALLY THROW EVERYTHING THAT YOUR BRAIN WANTS TO TRICK YOU INTO THINKING ABOUT THROWN OUT THE WINDOW. ROSE, YOU'VE GOT A TASTE OF THAT RIGHT AND REALLY DIVE INTO EACH INDIVIDUAL PRODUCER AND SEE WHAT IS THE STYLE OF WINE THAT THEY'RE MAKING. IT COULD BE ANY ONE OF THESE COULD BE MADE IN A SWEETER STYLE. OKAY. PUTTING ON WHEN THEY'RE HARVESTING PRODUCE IT IN THE WINERY. JUST TO CLARIFY, DON'T THROW YOUR ROSE OUT THE WINDOW NOT YOU CAN READ THAT'S A WASTE. NO, IT ISN'T. ROSE IS OFTEN GOTTEN THIS AGAIN, A ONE-DIMENSIONAL CATEGORY JUST BEING THAT SLIGHT BLUSH KIND OF JUST AN SERIOUS WIND AND NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. THE BATTLE IS IN ASCENDANCY. SO THE A FANCY ICE, A RUSTIC. THIS IS REALLY REPRESENTATION OF WHAT A LOT WHY MODELS USED TO LOOK LIKE, OK DURING THE TIME OF THE ANCIENT ROMANS AND CERTAINLY COMING WELL INTO THE LATTER PART OF THE 20TH CENTURY FINALLY GOT MORE MODERN BATTLE SHAPES. BUT THIS IS A VERY KIND OF CLASSIC BOTTLE SHAPE. THEY'VE CERTAINLY DONE SOME GORGEOUS ETCHING. CHUCK, TO IS ONE OF 18 GRAND CREW PROPERTIES AND PROVIDES OUT OF THE HUNDREDS OF PRODUCERS THAT ARE THERE. THEY ARE ONE OF ONLY A HANDFUL THAT WERE GIVEN THIS DESIGNATION BACK IN 1955. THE BEST OF THE BEST, THIS ISN'T PROVIDES. THIS IS WHERE WE SAW THE THE REALLY LAUNCHING THE ASCENT OF THE MODERN DAY ROSE BY AROUND 2006, WE START TO SEE PROVIDES THOSE AGED JUST EVERYONE BY THE LAST WE SAW HIM BY THE BOTTOM THERE ON BILLBOARDS. THEY'RE EVERYWHERE THEY'RE DOING PARTIES THIS IS REALLY A RETURN SOME OF THE MORE CLASSIC ELEGANCE OF THE REGION. >> WHICH DATES BACK TO THE 13 HUNDRED'S WHEN THE POPE MOVED THE SEAT OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH FROM ROME TO AVENUE ONTO YOUR LAP IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE. IT'S A LITTLE BIT WOOZY. SO THIS THIS IS A MUCH BIGGER WHY THIS FOR MEN TO DAN FERMENTED AND HE'S PARTIALLY IN BARREL. SO WE'RE TREATING IT MORE LIKE A TRADITIONAL WHITE WINE OR RED WINE. A MOST OF YOUR ROSE IS GET THAT BRIEF KIND OF STAINLESS STEEL FRESHNESS, SOMETHING THAT'S NOT GOING TO ADD ANY EXTRA TEXTURE, COMPLEXITY. SURE. HERE. WE WANT OKAY. >> THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE. I KNOW YOU GUYS HAVE SPECIAL EVENTS COMING UP. WE DO AND TASTINGS. YOU'RE DOING A ROSE TASTE. WE ARE DIVING MORE INTO THE BROADER SPECTRUM JUST THESE 3 ON APRIL. 21ST AS PART OF OUR GRAPH TO EDUCATIONAL SERIES REALLY FALLING IN LINE WITH THE SPECTRUM ROSE.
