For much of the nation, Conservative MP Michael Fabricant is best known for his work in Parliament, and signature blond hair.
However, the flamboyant politician had previously offered insight into his attempts to find love, making a toe-curling appearance on First Dates back in 2017.
The former MP for Lichfield, 74, who made his debut on Celebrity Big Brother on Monday, admitted even he has been left 'cringing' by his stint on the show.
Michael appeared on a charity special on First Dates in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, which saw him reveal that he is looking for a woman for companionship, or 'a bit of sex maybe'.
His date then took an awkward turn when she made a joke about his blond hair, with Michael hitting back at her jibes that he was wearing a wig.
Speaking ahead of his told his date with Jan, a fantasy novelist, Michael told cameras: 'I think most people think I'm gay.

The flamboyant politician has joined 12 stars in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother which kicked off on Monday night
'But when you're a Member of Parliament, if I came out and said what I am - which is probably bisexual - people would say "he's greedy, he can't make up his mind!'''
During their dinner, Jan - who did not initially recognise him - commented on Mr Fabricant's sexuality and said that 'the wig is a bit of a giveaway', before she told him to 'get rid of it'.
Michael who has previously described himself as 'not exclusively gay', appeared taken aback with her remark, and said: 'I'm not going to make personal comments about you. I think that's a rather rude thing to do in a dinner.'
Apologising, Jan said: 'I did not mean to be rude.'
Michael said: 'It's me. My hair is me, if you like it - great. If you don't - hard luck. I think making a personal remark seems rather aggressive and unpleasant, actually.'
Later during their date, Jan apologised to Mr Fabricant again, to which he replied: 'Can we not discuss hair?
'I won't discuss your breasts if you promise not to discuss my hair.'
During his appearance on the show, Michael also took to X to say that he was 'cringing with embarrassment'.

It was during his appearance on the show that Michael also first confessed that he was bisexual, though he did say on the show he was hoping to find love with a woman

During his appearance on the show, Michael also took to X to say that he was 'cringing with embarrassment', quipping at the time he'd 'have to resign'
He wrote: 'I will have to resign after this! And what are those red rings round my eyes [sic.]? Who did the make-up??? I think I'm going to kill myself.'
He had expressed his annoyance over comparisons between his hair and the hair of fellow MP Boris Johnson earlier in the episode.
Michael revealed: 'My sexual involvements with women have been more active than with guys. I've got plenty of male friends. I would really prefer a woman.'
Asked by Jan about previous relationships, he spoke of encounters with Westminster secretaries since becoming a Member of Parliament in 1992.
He said: 'We would get on really well, but then they would say, 'Where is this leading? We want babies, we want mortgages'.'
Following their date, the pair parted ways amicably and suggested they might meet up again as friends.
Michael has spoken about his hair once, in a 2014 interview with The Mirror, when he insisted his coiffing routine 'is a lot more complicated' than a simple hairpiece.
He said at the time: 'OK, all I will admit to is that there is some - but only some - enhancement of the follicular area.'
Since kickstarting his political career in the 1990s, Michael's hair has been a regular topic of discussion, with fellow Tory MP Huw Merriman once caught on camera saying to another colleague, 'it's definitely a wig' when sitting in Parliament.
After losing his Parliamentary seat at the most recent General Election, Michael joined 12 other housemates moving into the Celebrity Big Brother house on Monday night.
But as he joined hosts Aj Odudu and Will Best on the colourful bridge, the rowdy crowd beneath them did not seem impressed by his appearance.
He was particularly boo'd during the moments he mention his blonde locks and when he gave a shout out to his fellow Conservatives on live TV.
And the unhappy audience did not go unmissed as viewers flocked to x, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.
Posts included: 'The boos for Michael Fabricant lmao, Conservatives always get booed. But it's interesting that he's bisexual and says he's quite liberal, could he surprise us? #CBBUK #CBB'
'Love when they try to blast the music so we can't hear the boos but they're so loud you can hear them regardless #CBB #CelebrityBigBrother #CBBUK'
'They can't NOT expect boos for a Tory. #CBB #CBBUK'
'The boos fantastic #CBBUK #CBB'
'The biggest boos I've ever heard for an entrance!'
'That's not a good start to Michael's CBB journey!'
Speaking to the hosts before going into the house, Michael revealed why he wanted to be a CBB housemate.
The outspoken politics enthusiast said: 'Meeting interesting people and having good conversations.
'Having some fun and to find out what it's like being trapped with people I don't know!'
Asked how he would get on with the other celebrities, he replied: 'It's difficult to say.
'If they're bright, amusing, interesting it'll be great. I'm a light sleeper so if they have some funny nighttime habits, that could be a problem.
'So no snorers, please. I think boredom is my biggest fear - not having enough stimulation.'
Celebrity Big Brother continues on Tuesday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
