Johnsonville bratwurst recalled for potential plastic contamination, USDA says
(Gray News) – More than 22,000 pounds of Johnsonville bratwurst is being recalled for possible plastic contamination.
The USDA announced the recall of Johnsonville cheddar bratwurst on Saturday.

The recalled products are 19-oz. sealed firm tray packages containing five pieces of Johnsonville Brats – Cheddar Bratwurst. They have establishment number “Est. 1647” on the front of the label, as well as package code “B9FOD.”
The brats were sold in Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.
The problem was discovered after two consumer complaints, saying they found hard plastic material in the bratwurst.
There have been no injuries reported.
If you have this product in your fridge or freezer, you’re urged to throw it away or return it to the store.
