Oregon men’s basketball falls from top 25 in final polls of 2024-25

Oregon dropped in the polls to end the 2024-25 season.

The Ducks (25-10) received 105 points, 27th overall in the final AP men’s college basketball poll and 40 points, 30th overall, in the final coaches poll.

That’s down from No. 25 with 115 points in the AP men’s college basketball poll and 35 points, 28th overall in the coaches poll entering the NCAA Tournament.

It’s the fifth straight season Oregon finished unranked in the AP poll.

Oregon moved up to No. 27 in NET from No. 29 entering the NCAA Tournament. The Ducks went 8-8 in Quadrant 1 games, including the loss to Arizona in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, and 10-2 in Q2 games.

The Big Ten landed three teams in the AP top 10 and five in the top 25 with No. 7 Michigan State, No. 9 Maryland, No. 9 Michigan, No. 14 Purdue and No. 16 Wisconsin.

Oregon is set to lose five seniors to graduation this offseason, including starters Brandon Angel, TJ Bamba and Keeshawn Barthelemy, and center Nate Bittle declared for the NBA draft but will maintain his college eligibility.

Seven scholarship players are due to return, including point guard Jackson Shelstad and forward Kwame Evans Jr. Former Texas forward Devon Pryor is the only transfer to commit to UO thus far this offseason.
