'Barbie Boy' spends £59k on surgeries in quest for 'the world's biggest cheekbones'
EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Mast has set himself the goal of becoming the man with the biggest cheekbones in the world and despite shelling out thousands, he's not done yet
With cheekbones so sharp they could slice glass and a look that's been compared to a real-life doll, Patrick Mast isn’t afraid to turn heads. In fact, that’s exactly the point.
The 30-year-old has spent the last 16 years meticulously reshaping his face and body to match his extraordinary vision of beauty, one that now includes being the man with the biggest cheekbones in the world. And he’s not done yet. “I’ve set myself the goal of being the man with the biggest cheekbones in the world,” Patrick, who has been dubbed the Barbie Boy of Germany, says.
“Every month, I get filler and Botox injections to enhance my look - it costs me around £1,670 (€2,000) a month, but I love the results. I’m not stopping anytime soon.” Patrick has become an internet sensation for his doll-like transformation — but his journey has been anything but artificial. From his very first surgery at 18 - a nose job that cost £4,200 (€5,000) - to his ongoing monthly injections, Patrick has undergone over 100 cosmetic procedures. To date his extreme transformation has cost more than £59,000 (€70,000). “I started changing my appearance when I was just 14,” he reveals.
“By 18, I had my first surgery. I’ve had two lip lifts, a facelift, brow fillers, chin fillers, veneers for that perfect doll smile, and even laser hair removal. I’ve had Botox in every inch of my face.”
His signature cheekbones, the defining feature of his look, have taken years to sculpt through strategic filler placement. And while the pain can be intense, Patrick says it’s all worth it. “Because I need a lot of filler to achieve the size I want, the risks are higher,” he admits. “But I’ve never had a botched surgery. The worst thing I deal with is a few scars from my facelift.
"I might get them removed with a laser or hidden under a hair transplant I’m planning.” Next on his to-do list? Buttock implants after a failed attempt to gain weight for a Brazilian butt lift and finally fixing his receding hairline with a rounded hair transplant.
Despite the pain, price, and social stigma, Patrick, from Frankfurt, insists he has no regrets. “Not once have I thought, ‘Why did I do this?’ I always knew the risks, and I planned everything very carefully. This is who I am, and I’ve never been happier with how I look.”
Reactions from the public can be brutal. “When I post videos with my friend, German reality star Hubert Fella, they go viral — millions of views. But people compare my face to a bicycle saddle or a horror movie character,” he shrugs. “I’ve read thousands of comments. Most are negative. But I knew this would happen when I chose to look different.”
That difference has also led to fetishisation, something Patrick accepts without discomfort. “Because of my face - the exaggerated features and the erotic-doll look - many men see me as a living erotic doll,” he says, unfazed. “It doesn’t bother me. It’s part of what I signed up for.” While some might view his look as extreme, Patrick’s transformation is deeply personal.
For him, it’s not about seeking fame or fitting into a mould but becoming the version of himself he always dreamed of.
“Five years ago, I looked in the mirror and didn’t like what I saw. Now? I’m proud.
"I know people find my appearance shocking, but I’ve finally become the person I always saw in my head.” Despite his striking look, Patrick says he hasn’t yet been offered modelling work, though he’s hopeful. “My dream is to be on reality TV, maybe Big Brother.
"I think if people could see me in real life, they’d realise I’m a totally normal guy. It might even help change some minds about people who choose cosmetic surgery.”
Still, fame or no fame, Patrick remains his biggest fan, especially of his now-famous cheekbones and smile. “I love my teeth. They cost a lot, but they’re perfect. And my cheekbones - obviously! They’re totally unique.” As for celebrity comparisons, Patrick has heard it all iincluding being told he looks like Chloë Grace Moretz. “She has similar features, but hers are natural,” he says. “Her face is recognisable, which I love, but it’s way too natural for me.” Now approaching mid-life with a look that defies gender norms and aging alike, Patrick is happy to be a living statement.
“People think beauty standards are fixed, but they change all the time,” he explains. “That’s why I always tell people: don’t chase trends, create your own. Your look should make you happy. Not society.” To those just starting their own cosmetic journeys, Patrick has this advice: “Be aware of the consequences — some things can’t be undone. Always research your doctor.
"And most importantly, don’t do it for anyone else. Beauty should be your own ideal, not someone else’s expectation,” says Patrick, who documents his journey on TikTok. And for Patrick, that ideal is only getting bolder - and cheekier.
