At the age of 22, Alejandro Davidovich eliminated Serbian Novak Djokovic in the first round. The Málaga-born tennis player defeated Djokovic in the first round of the Masters 1000, where he also reached the final, thus consolidating the excellent tournament he has enjoyed from the start.

Preview:
The Murcia native will face Alejandro Davidovich in the semifinals, having previously defeated Australian Alexei Popyrin 6-3, 6-2.
It was a completely different Davidovich than the one who had ended the match against Jack Draper in tears the day before, more in line with the consistency he's showing this season, the best of his career in that regard.
"I've improved as a person, I've matured," Davidovich Fokina said. "When you control things off the court, it's going to be easier to control your emotions on the court. Today was proof of the progress I'm making this year."
