Rory McIlroy has firmly installed himself as Masters Champion favourite with a Super Computer backing him to end his major hoodoo.

Chasing the career grand slam, McIlroy produced a field-best six-under-par second round to roar back into contention after a heartbreaking end to his Thursday.

And according to Prime Casino, who have the latest casino games, their Supercomputer predicts McIlroy will go in to win the tournament.

As part of their calculations, they say McIlroy has a 21.6% chance of winning the competition while Bryson DeChambeau has an 18.2% chance of winning while defending champion Scottie Scheffler has a 17.7% chance.

Shane Lowry is listed as having the sixth best chance with 4.6%.

McIlroy takes to the tee in the penultimate group today at 7.30 pm alongside Canadian Corey Conners while leader Justin Rose and Bryson DeChambeau tee it up at 7.40 pm.

Shane Lowry will play in the group ahead of Lowry at 7.20 pm alongside Matt McCarty while Scottie Scheffler is out at 7.10 pm.

McIlroy is now firmly the bookmaker favourite after his stellar second round, which included a five-under-par back nine.

The four-time major winner's hopes looked to be shattered after two quickfire double bogeys on the opening day but bounce back in spectacular fashion.

“Overall I’m just really proud of myself with how I responded after the finish last night,” McIlroy said.

“I just had to remind myself I played really good golf yesterday and was not going to let two bad holes dictate the narrative for the rest of the week.

“Once I left the property I tried to leave what had happened here. I rushed home to see (daughter) Poppy before she went to bed and I feel like I did a good job of resetting.

“I had a good conversation with Bob Rotella (sports psychologist) about not pushing too hard too early, just tried to stay really, really patient and that was rewarded with a nice little stretch in the middle of the round.

“I don’t think I proved anything, if anything just backed up the belief I have in myself and the belief that I’m as resilient as anyone else out here.”
