The 6-foot-8 prospect out of Meridian, Idaho, was part of the BYU program for three seasons. Tripple was a preferred walk-on during his time at BYU.
He has two years of eligibility remaining in his collegiate career.

Tripple redshirted during the free year of eligibility during the 2020-21 season under head coach Mark Pope. He then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cordoba, Argentina, and Scottsdale, Arizona.
In his first year back from the mission, Tripple carved out a frontcourt role early on in BYU’s first season as a Big 12 member in the 2024-24 campaign. Tripple played five meaningful minutes for a shorthanded BYU frontcourt after Fousseyni Traore went down with an injury in a nonconference win over NC State in Las Vegas.
Tripple then earned eight minutes of playing time in a road game against Texas Tech in 2024 when Noah Waterman was injured. He knocked down a corner three-pointer, but his season was cut short after that game due to his own injuries.
During this past year under Kevin Young, Tripple appeared in five games, with no more than two minutes played in each blowout win.
Tripple had 19 game appearances during his time at BYU.
Tripple is the fourth BYU basketball player to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal during the 2025 cycle.
