A trip to a flower show has left a group of care home residents "feeling inspired and uplifted".

The residents at Southerndown Care Home in Chipping Norton visited Enstone Garden Club's Flower Show, held at the village hall in Enstone.

Shilpa Nair, general manager at Southerndown, said: "The visit was a heart warming reminder of the joy that community events bring, and the residents left feeling inspired and uplifted by the colourful displays and warm village atmosphere."

The visit was part of the home's life enrichment programme, which aims to keep residents active and provides a daily choice of physical and mental activities.
