Kerala Film Critics Awards 2024: Tovino Thomas, Nazriya Nazim and Rima Kallingal win big; Fasil Muhammed’s Feminichi Fathima named best film

Kerala Film Critics Awards 2024 winners: In a thumping victory, actors Tovino Thomas, Nazriya Nazim and Rima Kallingal were named best actors, while director Fasil Muhammed’s debut movie Feminichi Fathima was named the best film at the 48th Kerala Film Critics Award for the year 2024. Even as Tovino bagged the Best Actor trophy for his performances in Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM) and Anweshippin Kandethum, the Best Actress awards were conferred to Nazriya Nazim and Rima Kallingal for their portrayals in Sookshmadarshini and Theatre – The Myth of Reality, respectively.

Featuring Shamla Hamza, Kumar Sunil, Viji Viswanath, Pushpa, Praseedha and Raji Menon, Feminichi Fathima had won several accolades at the 29th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), 2024, too. Indu Lakshmi, meanwhile, bagged the honour for Best Director for her film Appuram, starring Anagha Maya Ravi, Jagadish and Mini IG. As many as 80 movies were submitted for consideration this year.

While actor-writer Jagadish bagged the Ruby Jubilee Award for his outstanding contributions to Malayalam cinema, senior actors Seema and Babu Antony, cinematographer-director Vipin Mohan, producer Jubilee Joy Thomas, and action director Thyagarajan were given the Chalachitra Prathibha Awards.
