WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTVY) - A Guatemalan man was arrested and faces charges related to the possession and distribution of obscene material involving both children and an animal.

This arrest comes after an investigation into a cyber tip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children involving a video being sent on Facebook of a child being sexually abused, according to the arrest report.

Investigative subpoenas linked the offending social media account, which went by the username “Antonio Tek,” back to a home on Windy Hill Drive in DeFuniak Springs.

Members of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes division and the Northwest Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted a search warrant on Tuesday at the residence, and 42-year-old Paulino Tec Ixim was taken into custody.

The Guatemalan national admitted to investigators that the phone number linked to the “Antonio Tek” account was his. A further search of his phone was also done, which revealed two other videos that contained more child sexual abuse material, as well as one video involving bestiality.

Ixim was arrested and booked into the Walton County Jail on multiple charges, including:

  • Possession of child pornography
  • Transmission of child pornography
  • Possession of pornography depicting sexual activities with animals
  • Using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony

Due to him also being in the country illegally, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was also notified of Ixim’s arrest.

Ixim, who is still in custody at this time, was issued a $100,000 bond.
