A federal grand jury has indicted three men in separate cases for illegally re-entering the United States after being previously deported.Erik Santana-Garcia, a Mexican national, faces multiple charges related to child exploitation. A superseding indictment accuses Santana-Garcia of transporting a 15-year-old across state lines to engage in illegal sexual activity, being in possession of a firearm as a non-citizen, illegally re-entering the U.S. after deportation, and possessing child sexual abuse material.In a second case, Romeo Perez-Bravo, 42, a Guatemalan national, was indicted on a charge of illegal re-entry following a felony conviction. A superseding indictment also includes prior charges of aggravated identity theft and misuse of a Social Security number.Perez-Bravo used a Minnesota man’s stolen identity to live and work in Missouri since 2009, court documents state. Authorities allege he was previously deported three times and has prior felony convictions in Minnesota, including for identity theft and terroristic threats. Andres G. Angel-Martinez, 25, another Mexican national, was located on April 15 after previously being removed from the U.S. in November 2019. He is charged with illegal re-entry.
