Cedar Rapids man charged with lying about motorcycle accident
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A Cedar Rapids man has been charged with lying about a motorcycle accident that took place last week.
David Glandon was involved in an accident that occurred on Wednesday, April 23 in the 1800 block of Edgewood Road NW.
Glandon claimed he had been run off the road by another vehicle.
However, witnesses to the accident reported Glandon was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
Further investigation revealed Glandon was lying about the incident.
Glandon later withdrew his initial statements about the crash.
On Monday, April 28, Cedar Rapids Police charged Glandon with failure to maintain control and falsified reports.
A GoFundMe for him was set up after the crash.
It initially said another vehicle was involved with two men and a woman.
It was later changed to say he wiped out.
