Rogers & Cowan Hire Chris Monaco as Managing Director International

PR and marketing agency Rogers & Cowan have named branding veteran Chris Monaco as their new International Managing Director.

PR and marketing agency Rogers & Cowan have named branding veteran Chris Monaco as their new International Managing Director. In his new position, Monaco will oversee the group’s international business across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa be responsible for digital innovation and synergy within all the brands of the Octagon Sport and Entertainment Network Internationally (Rogers & Cowan, FRUKT, ITB Worldwide, Octagon, Milkmoney).

“Chris’ expertise in delivering authentic music and entertainment experiences to consumers, coupled with Octagon’s sports marketing heritage are key to the future growth of our overall International business,” said Jeff Ehrenkranz, President of Octagon Marketing International in a release.

Monaco will report directly to Rogers & Cowan CEO Mark Owens.

“Chris is a consummate leader and his vision and knowledge of our Global core agency disciplines will amplify and create new business opportunities for global clients such as Mastercard, Heineken and Cisco,” said Owens in a release.

Most recently, Monaco served as Chief Revenue Officer, Global Partnerships for Livestyle and, prior to that, Monaco worked as an svp for Universal Music Group. The 20-year brand veteran also spent several years with the Octagon network, leading the music and entertainment practice in Los Angeles with long-standing client Mastercard.

Monaco’s hiring comes on the heels of Rogers & Cowan launching in-house studio content development and production arm, Clickable Media Group, and acquiring London-based ITB Worldwide, an award-winning entertainment marketing, representation and brand licensing agency.

In the past two years, Rogers & Cowan have signed talent such as Katy Perry, Olympic Gold-medalist Chloe Kim, Riz Ahmed and Iggy Azalea, and new brands including Verizon, Hasbro and Heineken.
