Chetan Kapur's Recruit Dennis Geiger, Approaching Anniversary of Kidney Donation

Chetan Kapur's recruit, Dennis Geiger became a living kidney donor for his mother, Kathleen. Chetan Kapur celebrates the upcoming anniversary of his recruit's heartfelt deed and reflects on the exemplary character shown despite adversity.

Chetan Kapur remembers the upcoming anniversary of a selfless act performed by a recruit that he brought aboard, Dennis Geiger. Dennis volunteered to donate one of his kidneys to his mother, Kathleen, to help her live a longer, healthier life.

After discovering that she needed a kidney transplant, all three of Kathleen Geiger's sons stepped up, all willing to donate one of their own kidneys to their mother. Dennis Geiger was the chosen donor, mainly due to his age and compatibility.

The surgery took place just two months before Dennis was to be married. Kathleen and Dennis were both recuperated enough to dance together at his wedding, and spoke at a press conference in February of 2010, getting the word out about the gift of organ donation.

From a medical standpoint, in the case of a parent/child donation, there is a 50 percent chance of finding a suitable and compatible match. Chetan Kapur was proud to support Dennis through this procedure.

"This selfless good deed performed by Dennis shows his strength of character, and the type of recruit we are proud to have join the organizational effort. We strive for candidates who have strong moral and ethical standards in both their professional and personal lives. These qualities are truly tested as recruits are given a lot of responsibility to spearhead at the firm. As probably in all firms, we have had the experience of having to let go of a recruit that displayed poor moral fiber. However, Dennis is exactly the kind of employee we're proud to work with and we're so proud that he was able to help his mother with his selfless donation," says Chetan Kapur (http://www.chetankapur.info).

Chetan Kapur is an avid participant in and contributor to the community, often supporting and contributing to various charities and events. Some of the charities he supports are Unicef, Hope Worldwide, Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Action Against Hunger, and many more.

"Charity is important, whether it's for a worthy organization like Unicef or within your own family. Many people say they would gladly donate a kidney to a family member, but not many actually get the opportunity like Dennis did. These types of actions truly stand out to show what type of character a person possesses. Such selfless deeds are rewards in themselves, and we're proud to have Dennis as part of our network," notes Chetan Kapur.
